A new website to mark a few new milestones in my relatively short career. I've been invited to feature on a few websites (see store and link section soon) and have just landed some full time work in a studio on a short film.  Keep checking back for updates in all sections, including the introduction of a new site section housing some stunning animations from up-and-coming motion graphics wranglers, featuring my artwork. Get excited!

1 April

Well, it’s been a big few months! Monkeystack is going well, with a lot of good projects in the pipeline (i’ll be sure to share them with you soon!). It’s been a long time coming, but i’ve finally been in a position to upgrade to the new 27″ quad-core i5 imac. It’s what dreams are made of. I haven’t been able to stop staring longingly into its glorious backlit screen for the past 24 hours! It was every bit worth the 2.5 month wait (apple had supply issues). Still breaking it in, but I have a feeling I wont be able to do anything but paint. More goodness on the way soon, I promise.

A new year with equally new opportunities heading my way! I’ve survived up till now on the occasional commission, but i’ve just been selected to be a part of monkeystack’s digital artist incubator program kicking off in february. The program sounds awesome and i’ll be getting a lot of amazing experience and insight into the industry that I one day wish to be a significant part of. I’ll try my best to keep abreast of new developments, as well as update my artwork more regularly. Outlook is good, spirits are high!

Great news guys! After 2.5 years of working in retail, i’ve finally gotten up the guts to take the massive leap into full-time freelance artistry! I’ll be my own boss, be working my own hours, and will most likely go hungry for the next little while (uh oh..) Very excited, a little apprehensive, a lot nervous, but pumped all the same. Big thanks to everyone who has believed in me from the start, i will make you all proud soon! All I need now is to be noticed…

Insane 2010 is just around the corner, and I was fortunate enough to be asked to do the branding for the event. This involved a poster, and turned out to be one of my favourite pieces to date. 5 March – 24 April

Got selected to participate in a group exhibition at the nexus gallery, entitled ‘adelaide ink 2: comic culture’. I was encouraged to submit comic-themed pieces, and I enthusiastically obliged with the Sky Fishermen Sequential set. Opening night was great, the show in its entirety was a success and I gained a lot of valuable feedback from admirers and critics alike. You can see them in my illustration gallery. Sold one of the pieces, which was great, though a shame to break the set. Needless to say, i’m hoping it’s not the last of exhibitions i am to be a part of.
